Beware of False Prophets

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15 (KJV)

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. This means that He is God and the heir of the Father (Romans 8:17). When God wanted to carry out His will of saving mankind from sin, He groomed Jesus Christ and expressed Himself in and through Him. No wonder Jesus Christ said, “My Father who dwells in Me does the works” (John 14:10).

Dear beloved, if you want to know the Father, you cannot do it any other way except by knowing Jesus Christ first. If He said we should be mindful of false prophets, it should arrest our attention so that we take His words seriously. It means there are false prophets or hypocrites who call themselves prophets but are not.

They are vessels of the devil and his demons. How do they come to us? They come in sheep’s clothing, which means they come behaving like children of God but they are the children of the devil; they will use the same resources, like the Holy Bible, and twist the Word of God to deceive people and rob them of their dignity, money, reputation, integrity, wealth, etc. (John 8:44).

They may even come to your church to worship with you but with the wrong motive to steal, kill, and destroy; no wonder inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Beloved, use the Word of God to judge them, and never be afraid of their threats and false prophecies, which create ungodly fear with the attempt to deceive you and rob you.

Always ask the Holy Spirit also to lead and prompt you to identify them by their conduct (fruits), and put them where they belong i.e under your feet. Be an overcomer.

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for making me aware of the false prophets in our world today. Please endow me with the Spirit of discernment and scriptures to put them where they belong, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Do Not Dine With the Disobedient

*And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.” 2 Thessalonians 3:14–15 (KJV)

Dining with the disobedient is wearing the same clothes as them. The disobedient includes anyone who lives to oppose the will of God that is enshrined in His Word. For example, God is faithful and tells the truth always, but the disobedient are unfaithful and delight in lies.

My Dear Brethren, meditate on the opening scripture, and gain a heart of wisdom to align yourself to do God’s will. God’s will is to disassociate yourself from any person even a Christian who delights in sin and opposes God’s authority in His Word.

Befriend a Christian who is disciplined and submits to our Lord Jesus Christ in His Word. John 10:27–28 says “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. v28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand”.

The good thing is that every true Christian hates isolation. Thus if we all form a habit of dissociating ourselves from the disobedient and instead associate with obedient Christians, the disobedient who’s been isolated will feel ashamed, repent, and come back to join the flock of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Don’t count him or her as an enemy, because we all need the wellbeing of each other. Don’t forget that Jesus Christ came to save the lost. No wonder our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ declared in Luke 19:10 that “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”.

I can feel somebody saying, what if a sinner refused to repent, what should a Christian do? Ephesians 5:11 says “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them”.

Therefore, it is our duty to bring the lost back to God. Some people went astray due to frustration in life. They fell thinking that God no longer there to answer their prayers. But there is nothing impossible with God. Let’s encourage one another to walk steady in the things of God.

Prayer Point : Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word. Please give me the confidence by your Spirit to disassociate myself from all those who do not obey your Word, in Jesus’ name. Amen

No Wilderness, No Glory

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” (Psalms 37:23-24)

If you don’t go through the wilderness experience, your glory has no value and anything that is valueless fades away with time. It is your story that gives value to your glory. When your story begins to bring you glory, people are compelled to join you to church to testify. Don’t ever be afraid of the wilderness experience. What you are going through is part of life. When rain falls the sun is apt to shine later and after sunshine, people hardly remember that it rained earlier. You go through the wilderness and not remain in it. There is a crown on your head. Keep it there. Don’t pull it off.

You will not be consumed because you are only passing through the wilderness. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me… and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Psalm 23:4-6). David made these declarations out of the experience he had in the school of wilderness. Take a cue from him and personalize these promises as you make this confession: “I will not die in the wilderness. I will not remain in the wilderness. I am only passing through. God will make a way for me where there is no way. My God is alive. Jehovah, open the door for me and guide me out of the wilderness. “Remember that the wilderness experience is compulsory for those who want to get into their promised land. The choice is yours.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: Father, my glory will not be covered, as the glory of the sun cannot be covered. The wilderness shall produce for me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

WORDS OF WISDOM: Wilderness is a experience necessity.

Who is Your Alpha and Omega?

“Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.” Revelation 1:11 (KJV)

Who you make your alpha and omega determines your destination on Earth and eternity. Alpha and omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. They are the A and Z in English. It is vital who you choose to be the first and last in your life. For some, it is their parents so when their parents pass on, their life becomes purposeless. Others have made riches, fame, and political power their first and last; when they lose them, their lives are turned upside-down.

Dear beloved, Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega, but if you don’t allow Him to play His role as the first and last in your life, you will also live a purposeless life. If you are born again, then He is in your life as the Holy Spirit.

Make time to fellowship with the Holy Spirit through the Word of God every day before you start the new day, and success, victory, peace, and joy will be your portion. He will always lead you to the finest of wheat and honey in the rock (Psalm 81:16).

It is quite unfortunate that some people who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, Alpha and Omega still conforms to this world (Roman’s 12:2) by walking according to the flesh instead of walking according to the spirit (Roman’s 8:1).

Prayer Point : Dear heavenly Father, thank you for making Jesus Christ the Alpha and Omega of my life. I submit my spirit, my soul, my body, my wife, my children and all my resources to Him. Amen!

Be Ye Transformed

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”. Romans 12:2 (KJV)

Living a transformed life does not come by accident or chance; it comes by making a conscious effort at renewing one’s mind daily by God’s Word. The Holy Scriptures are the only tools given by God to renew our mind. Therefore, Christians who do not make determined effort at studying and meditating on the Scriptures are missing and will continue to miss greater blessings from the Word of God. This is the motivational force that gave birth to this blog and centered on continuous building of the mind, positive attitude of readers for spiritual nourishment. The opening Scripture has identified the Christians who conform to the world: they are those Christians who fail to renew their mind with the Scriptures. Such Christians will face the same challenges the worldly people face. 2 Corinthians 5:17, says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”.
Immediately a person gives his or her life to Christ, he or she becomes a new creature, old things are passed away and all things become new. This renewed life is accompanied by continuous study of the word of God. 2 Tim 2:15 says “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.

Any child of God who genuinely repent and decide to walk with God, is not expected to fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them (Eph 5:11). For example, some Christians are complaining of economic hardship which the worldly people are also complaining about. Christians who are renewing their mind will never complain but praise God because they live in God’s economy, where there is abundance of every good thing. More so, such Christians can detect the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. Dear beloved, have you found the will of God for your life? Are you ready to be transformed? As you get transformed, may the grace of God abide in you so as to be of good stead and walk on the path of righteousness in Jesus name Amen.

Prayer
Gracious God, I accept that I am a sinner and have transgressed against your commandments. I stand upon your word in Matthew 11:28 which says “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. Remove the burden of sin in my life and let my mind be transformed through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen.
